The Zingaro Nature Reserve
The Zingaro Nature Reserve, founded in 1981 is the first in Sicily, along the coast from Scopello to San Vito Lo Capo.
In the seven kilometers of coastline, saved from speculation and from the street "overview" that was to be built here in the early 80's, nature, history and folklore come together giving the visitor a unique setting.
The Gypsy is fascinating for its rugged beauty, the colors of the sea with white coves and turquoise reflections, attracts the visitor to discover the unspoiled nature, flora and fauna, prehistoric archaeological sites, where the traces of the interaction between man and nature, past and present, are most evident.
The access to the reserve from two entrances, one on the side of Scopello, one from San Vito Lo Capo, in both you can park your car or bike and walk inside, following the trails. The settlement and the plan of the reserve may be withdrawn at the point of reception took each of the two inputs.
